Phonemic and Rhythmic Awareness: Phonemic awareness is the ability to recognize and differentiate specific sounds in a specific language. It happens naturally in our first language, but can be much more difficult when learning a second language.
Phonic Chants use patterned rhythm and repetition to develop phonemic awareness. Students are seeing, hearing and producing at the same time. These videos can be shown on classroom projectors, or used for individual practice for students and teachers. |
