Many Lao students are only taught grammar in private English schools and are not fully prepared for the demands of an international workplace. This book is based on interviews with international managers in Luang Prabang and the skills that they desire in their employees. Such skills include the ability to discuss, negotiate, present ideas and resolve conflict. This book presents key language patterns to be used in specific communicative settings. If both employees and managers agree to consistently use these key phrases, many misunderstandings can be avoided.
